Platinum Cured Silicone

Platinum-cured silicone, also known as addition-cure silicone, is a type of silicone rubber that uses a platinum-based catalyst to initiate the curing process. This curing method results in a high-purity, non-toxic, and odorless silicone material with superior mechanical properties. Platinum-cured silicones exhibit excellent elongation, tensile strength, and resistance to heat and aging.

Because of their biocompatibility and stability, platinum-cured silicones are widely used in medical applications, food-grade products, and other industries where purity is critical. They have minimal shrinkage upon curing and better chemical and thermal resistance compared to tin-cured (condensation-cure) silicones.
